SELF EVALUATION

The genre for this logo draft of 'MIXX' radio station is Dance and Garage music. I believe the target audience for this logo would preferably be aimed at people aged over 30 years of age, but of course others out of this target audience would definitely listen to this popular genre of music. This is because i find that it is what they would have listened to or mainly heard back in their time, e.g. out clubbing, on the radio etc. when garage music was in its prime. This is why i drew the mini speaker with the effect of the sound blasting out to show that the music was mainly used for clubbing, raving and played really loud, also i made the letters look like they were dancing to show the genre of dance music and party tunes.

The genre for this logo draft of 'PULSE' radio station is house music- I believe the target audience for this station would be people over the age of 25 because this music was mostly what this age group would genuinely listen to throughout their childhood as this style of music was around in the hits, beginning to become quite popular again and be a big interest in careers and so on in their childhood era; or maybe they were influenced and brought up by their parents listening to it or even playing it. This is why i gave the logo a vintage styled look about it- with the union jack colours and the dark background. Also to make the logo stand out to this audience i gave the font extra effects such as Bevel and Emboss and a thin outer glow.

The Genre for this Logo draft of 'Buzz' is pop music- I believe the target audience would be mainly young children aged between 7 and 16 because most young people are intrigued by the latest chart hits on popular radio stations and youtube- this group would give the 'Buzz' station most of the popularity. This is why I have used a range of bright colours within the logo and a cartoon-like lightning strike in order to attract these young people to listen in to the station on a regular basis with the latest and best-rated pop hits.
